Achill Island is the largest island off the coast of Ireland. It is situated off the west coast of County Mayo and measures 20km from east to west and 19km from north to south. It is joined to the mainland by a bridge at Achill Sound.The Island has some of the finest natural scenary in Europe and is renowned for its fine sandy 'Blue Flag' beaches.The seas around Achill are well known for their variety of fish specimens. Sea angling trips are available. There is also excellent rock and fresh water fishing available. Water sports and outdoor pursuits are in abundance, including surfing, windsurfing, diving, snorkling, kayaking, golf and hill walking. To the artist it is paradise
Achill Cottages are located in a peaceful woodland area. They are spacious and can accommodate up to seven guests. The cottages consist of an open plan lounge with an open fireplace and colour television. A dining room and comprehensive kitchen. This area opens out on to a patio. All furnishing, cutlery and crockery are to the highest standards.The cottages are fitted with guest controlled goldshield central heating.All our cottages are disabled friendly, with ramp access, downstairs bedroom and wheelchair accessible shower-room.The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a oven, hob, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher and washer-dryer.The cottages have three bedrooms, one downstairs with 2 single beds and two upstairs, one with 2 single beds and the other with one double bed and one single |
