Clifden Cottages are set in a 210-acre site, only 1.5 miles from the village of Clifden. To the North East the Twelve Bens provide a magnificent scenic backdrop and the Maamturk Mountain Ranges culminating in the Fjord of Killary dominate the region. To the south there are beautiful beaches, cliffs, picturesque fishing harbours and the Aran Islands.
The refurbished Clifden Cottages are the perfect base for exploring Clifden, Connemara and the renowned Kylemore Abbey or the Connemara National Park. Each three-bedroom cottage has been stylishly fitted out with all modern conveniences to ensure your stay is a comfortable one. A welcoming open fire is the centrepiece of the spacious living/dining room.
Clifden, the capital of Connemara is a truly welcoming town, which boasts a superb selection of traditional Irish pubs, excellent restaurants and interesting craft shops. It is spectacularly perched high above the deep sides of the boulder-strewn estuary of the River Owenglin. The broad streets seem consciously to open out to take in the fresh air of the mountains and the Atlantic.
Clifden Cottages has something to offer all the family. Onsite children will be spoilt for choice with a children’s play area, crazy golf, football and tennis to choose from (extra charges may apply). In the area there are a wealth of activities including golf, walking, swimming, scuba diving and exploring the beautiful countryside.
